SUBMISSION TO 2025-26 FEDERAL BUDGET CONSULTATION

The Human Rights Act campaign made a submission to the Federal Treasury recommending the Federal Government implement an Australian Human Rights Act, as well as showing how it can improve the 2025-2026 budget process.

The submission also recommends that the Federal Treasury should also implement in full the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Human Rights recommendation on statements of compatibility with human rights in formulating the 2025-26 Federal Budget with human rights considerations.
