Workers Rights and Human Rights Webinar

The Human Rights Law Centre and UTS Centre for Social Justice and Inclusion held this webinar on workers rights and human rights on 25 March 2021.

Moderated by UTS Social Justice Director Verity Firth, ACTU President Michele O'Neil spoke about freedom of association and the ‘Omnibus’ Bill and ‘Ensuring Integrity’ Bill, NTEU President Dr Alison Barnes highlighted freedom of expression with academic freedom and collective bargaining, and HRLC Executive Director Hugh de Kretser highlighted how an Australian Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms entrenches those internationally recognised rights in our laws, policies and decisions.
